Bohaterowie ci są głównymi postaciami popularnego filmu animowanego "Bolek i Lolek", produkowanego w bielskim Studiu Filmów Rysunkowych w latach 1963–1964. Rzeźba, wykonana z brązu, ma wysokość około 130 cm, a cały pomnik waży około 254 kilogramy.
