Centrum Nauki Kopernik

Centrum Nauki Kopernik, zlokalizowane przy ul. Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie 20 w Warszawie, otwarte dla publiczności od 5 listopada 2010 roku, ma na celu popularyzację nauki oraz współpracę z naukowcami i nauczycielami. Jego misją jest inspirowanie do obserwacji, odkrywania i zadawania pytań. Pomysłodawcą Centrum jest Łukasz Turski, profesor fizyki teoretycznej. Instytucja została założona w 2005 roku i jest finansowana przez Miasto Stołeczne Warszawa oraz ministerstwa.

Centrum organizuje Piknik Naukowy we współpracy z Polskim Radiem. W 2011 roku odbyła się tu konferencja ECSITE, jedno z największych wydarzeń w dziedzinie centrów nauki. Zwiedzający mogą samodzielnie przeprowadzać eksperymenty na interaktywnych wystawach oraz brać udział w warsztatach i pokazach naukowych.
