Kolorowe Jeziorka

Kolorowe Jeziorka to cztery stawy położone u stóp Wielkiej Kopy (871 m n.p.m.) w Rudawach Janowickich, Dolnośląskie. Ich powstanie wiąże się z dawnymi niemieckimi kopalniami, z których najstarsza nosiła nazwę Hoffnung (1785 - teren Purpurowego Jeziorka). Inne kopalnie to Neues Glück (1793 - teren Błękitnego Jeziorka) i Gustav Grube (1796 - teren Zielonego Jeziorka), gdzie wydobywano piryt, przetwarzany na kwas siarkowy w pobliskim Płoszowie.

Stawy te różnią się wysokościami, przy czym Żółte Jeziorko leży na ok. 555 m n.p.m., Purpurowe Jeziorko na ok. 560 m n.p.m., Błękitne Jeziorko na 635 m n.p.m., a najwyżej położone Zielone Jeziorko na ok. 730 m n.p.m.

Kolor wód jest wynikiem składu chemicznego podłoża, gdzie Purpurowe Jeziorko zawdzięcza swój odcień żelaznym związkom. W sąsiedztwie wyrobisk znajdują się także duże hałdy zmielonych skał. Owa okolica jest także bogata w minerały m.in. piryt, pirotyn, chalkopiryt, miedź, sfaleryt oraz inne.
